Thanks Vanessa. Ellen is an amazing student. Quick to learn. Eager to improve.

The beauty of having so many comments is you'll get ideas for future posts based on the specific direction their comments, questions and even complaints go.

Derek, I'm glad I discovered you shortly after getting on Substack a few months ago. It wasn't long before I was overwhelmed with all the newsletters I was following, and even with attending too many workshops. I'm thrilled for you to see one of your coaching clients has grown her newsletter as a result of absorbing and implementing what you've shared.

Same! Every time I post, I lose subscribers but then it rebounds and ends up being a net gain.

Go figure!

Fun to see you in action! For the record, i’ve enjoyed your work since the “cricket” days and so glad your voice is out there. It’s a needed one.

I’m a new follower and glad to find a woman speaking the truth that needs to be spoken. Clearly. Love this. Thank you Ellen.

You're the real deal, Ellen. And you have reached those of us who don't have any fucks to give!

Derek Hughes's avatar

Exactly. Underneath all the writing techniques you need to have something to say

I am your age and that many years to get to this point too. AI is my muse, not my mentor and that is a tool that wasn’t available to us back then. Congratulations on just pulling the effing trigger!

Muse not mentor - love this Kim!

congrats Ellen! That's amazing and well done! your 12 years has paid off! 😅 seriously though...celebrate!

12 years!?! Crazy right?

this is a great reminder to everyone who is expecting ‘overnight’ success, that there is rarely such a thing as actual overnight success because people have put in the work, maybe elsewhere, for years beforehand!

You obviously do otherwise you wouldn’t have those two words just to get a reaction.

Thanks for the discussions about how you're using AI. I'm an 'AI expert' and struggling with how to insure that I'm authentic while still using AI to help me organize and express my ideas so they can have impact. I agree that it's a learning process in a fast changing world and your video provided a nice context for your adventures...the dysfunctional systems harm both men and women...we're in the midst of a paradigm shift to help expand our world models and prosocial models that support living systems evolving towards collaboration.

When people say ‘using AI’ do they mean ‘chat GPT’ ‘grammarly’, or some other ’AI product’? And @Karen Doore what to do mean by ‘AI expert’. Pray do tell or will someone sack you or kill you for revealing a secrets?

Derek Hughes's avatar

In this discussion - Ellen & I mean ChatGPT and Claude.

Karen Doore's avatar

I replied on the original post ….sorry about that

I use ChatGPT, Gemini,midjourney,..it’s hard to claim to be an AI expert because the domain is changing so fast…but I am trying to figure out how to learn and explain to humans how we should learn to collaborate with each other….because that will give us the best possible chance to design AI systems that are aligned with humanity. I’ve spent the past 20 years learning about intelligent systems and how dysfunctional most organizations are…..I’m also a grandmother and artist….and I am trying to figure out how to trigger an avalanche of kindness because humans are impacted by legacy trauma from our dysfunctional systems ….radical kindness is necessary for us to realize we’re all interconnected with each other and the living systems of the planet and universe….. so I need to learn to write great narratives about these ideas and it’s not easy even with the help of AI
