I’m so glad you took the chances you needed to take! The part about waking up one day to a life that’s not really yours really resonated with me. That’s a big reason I’m here on Substack, to be part of a great community who appreciate and support each other.

An amazing read. It’s been three years since I navigated a similar move, and this makes my original attempt at explaining it look like amateur hour. Turns out, 'It’s my life, my risk, so just eff off' isn't exactly the most persuasive argument. Who knew?

This showed up exactly when Im deciding to leave a job that is not aligned and drains my energy daily vs keeping the job because of financial scarcity fears. Thank you 💖

Ellen - I did the exact same thing you did during the pandemic. I packed up my life, sold my house, and moved to the place I'd visited in 1986 and could not get out of my head or my heart. I left Florida, where I'd lived and worked for 38 years but never loved, and moved to Colorado. The minute I drove across the state line from New Mexico into Colorado, I knew I was home. I felt it in my bones. It was the best decision I've ever made.

Kathy, that’s awesome and so happy to hear it worked out! Sometimes taking a risk is the best thing we can do!
