My sex life in my 40s and now is way, way more satisfying than in my 30s. I also got a divorce at 40. I had been married for 21 years. We each changed in different ways and were no longer compatible.
I had amazing sex in midlife. My libido bloomed and I had the best sex of my life. Then again I wasn't married to, or cohabiting with, a man who was sucking the life out of me.
I think the pressure to be the right kind of woman in the US leads people to lie. This is true when people ask new parents how their babies sleep, and apparently true about sex in midlife. IMO, Ain America if you are a woman you are doing it wrong- no matter what βitβ is. People lie because the pressure from the culture is so heavy.

What would happen if everyone studied comparative anatomy and physiology (which includes other creatures as well as humans)?
What if we all knew more about the lifecycles of other species,
and even studied how human lifecycles proceeded a short 2 to 5 thousand years ago?
Would it make us wonder about current perspectives and expectations and their sustainability?
